Pearson Edexcel A-level Chemistry past papers and mark schemes

30 papers · June 2017 – June 2025

Paper 1: Advanced Inorganic and Physical Chemistry and Paper 2: Advanced Organic and Physical Chemistry are each worth 90 marks over 1 hour 45 minutes, while Paper 3: General and Practical Principles in Chemistry runs to 120 marks over 2 hours 30 minutes. This page collects past papers for the Pearson Edexcel A-level Chemistry specification, 9CH0, under those headings.

There are 30 papers in all, each with a mark scheme: 27 from exam series between June 2017 and June 2025, and 3 specimen papers. The series include October 2020 and November 2021 as well as the June sittings, sorted newest first under each paper. None of the Chemistry papers on this page has a separate insert. If you are early in the year, start with the older series and keep the most recent ones for the final weeks, so you still have unseen papers to sit close to the exam.

To fit those papers around your other subjects, try Reschedule, an A-level revision planner. Enter your subjects, board and the date of each paper, plus the days and hours you are free, and it builds a daily plan from the specification. Every subtopic is placed before the paper that examines it, and subtopics link to study material such as textbook chapters, Physics & Maths Tutor and Save My Exams.
