Pearson Edexcel A-level French past papers and mark schemes
18 papers · June 2018 – June 2025
In Pearson Edexcel A-level French (9FR0), Paper 1: Listening, reading and translation is a 2 hour paper worth 80 marks, while Paper 2: Written response to works and translation runs for 2 hours 40 minutes and carries 120 marks. Those are the only papers listed on this page, under the codes 9FR0/01 and 9FR0/02.
There are 18 papers in total, all with mark schemes, made up of 16 from exam series and 2 specimens. The series start in June 2018 and run to June 2025, with October 2020 and November 2021 in between, and each paper has 9 entries sorted newest first. No inserts are listed for French. A practical routine is to sit an older paper under timed conditions, mark it against the mark scheme straight away, and save June 2025 for the final stretch.
Reschedule, an A-level revision planner, can set that pacing for you. You add your subjects, exam board and the date of each paper, along with the days and hours you can study. It then builds a daily plan from the specification, down to individual subtopics, and places past papers with mark schemes in the plan for each paper.
