Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL) German past papers and mark schemes
30 papers · June 2017 – June 2025
Pearson Edexcel International A Level (IAL) German is represented on this page by two units, WGN02 and WGN04, with 30 papers between them. Their headings are ‘Unit 2: Understanding and written response (WGN02/01)’ and ‘Unit 4: Research, understanding and written response (WGN04/01)’. No other German units are listed. Each paper is out of 90 marks and lasts 2 hours 30 minutes.
The papers come from 16 exam series, the oldest being June 2017 and the newest June 2025. WGN02 has 16 papers and WGN04 has 14, so you have slightly fewer Unit 4 papers to work with. Every paper has a mark scheme, there are no specimen papers or inserts, and the files are all hosted by Pearson.
One approach is to begin with the June 2017 papers and work forwards, leaving the latest series as full mock exams near the end. After each one, check your answers against the mark scheme and note any recurring errors in your German. Reschedule is a revision planner and is not affiliated with any exam board. Once you add your exam board, the date of each paper and the hours you can study, it plans your revision day by day down to individual subtopics and adds past papers with mark schemes for each paper.
